The Moray Model Railway Group was founded in 1983 and meets every Wednesday evening in Black?s Barn, Sheriffston Farm, just off the A96 road between Elgin and Lhanbryde. There is always a warm and friendly welcome to anyone, no matter what age, who is interested in joining. Just come along on a Wednesday evening, around 7pm. The club owns, or has at it?s disposal, a number of layouts which have been exhibited at various shows around the country, including the annual Warley National Model Railway Exhibition held at the NEC, Birmingham. The Group has a high profile within the Scottish model railway scene and has been an active member of the Association of Model Railway Societies of Scotland (AMRSS) since 1990. As well as building models, the Group also has an active social side, which includes visits to various venues around the country and also, during the winter, organises talks and demonstrations on all aspects of railway modelling.e-mail: secretary@moraymrg.freeserve.co.uk
